Hootsuite Refresh

In 2019, Hootsuite collaborated with design agency Very Polite on a new brand vision. The internal design team then took the creative direction and applied it to our everyday brand materials.
My contributions included developing systems and templates for presentations, emails, and documents, as well as designing a graphic illustration language to pair with our new photography style.
Slide Deck Template
The focus of this template was variety, allowing for employees to have a bit of fun choosing layouts that suited their content best. We created multiple versions of slide types to ensure it fits the content of the employee without losing the boldness of the brand.
Email Template
Working with developer Annett Forcier, we created a modular template that is colourful, on brand, and mobile friendly. Leading with the updated photography and colour blocking to divide text.
Print Ads
Showcasing our brand in printed conference catalogues. This campaign was used to highlight the integrated relationship between Hootsuite and how to succeed with your specific business goals—focusing on the human connection. Copy and direction done in collaboration with Emma Brown.
Digital Documents
Downloadable reports, guides and infosheets. The goal of this project was to create a layout system for different types of content. Larger reports and guides are saved for large–scaled covers connected to brand campaigns, whereas infosheets dive into text on the first page. Created in collaboration with Hillary Macfarlane and Eric Uhlich.
Social Ads
An in-house photoshoot and general brand awareness suite. A collection of different types of social assets produced over the last couple years. Blending graphic illustrations with lively photography.
Specialty Projects
Using the brand colour palette and graphic illustration aesthetic for company swag, post cards, and a custom executive team slide deck. The new deck template was made specifically for the first quarter kickoff titled Town Hall 1.
Hootsuite’s yearly kickoff titled Town Hall One. The intent of this deck was to create a bold internal presentation that felt like a personalized experience for employees. The visual direction was centred around 3D shapes to emphasize building a vision for the new year.
